One Month AgoText advises no claim made for Winter Fuel Payment & deadline due. Follow link to what appears to be gov.uk site, it then asks for a £1 payment to verify bank account....which I didn't do. Got a text immediately from my bank advising unable to authorise a google pay payment. I am not old enough to be eligible for this benefit so this IS a scam. Now talking to my bank who are investigating the matter, luckily no money has left my bank. Very convincing & authentic looking website but the web address it pays a business in the USA - AVOID!!!
